The United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), High Tech Park Azerbaijan and Consulate General of Israel to New England Israel in Boston to co-host the “Baku-Boston Startup Web Conference 1.0.” on capitalization and market entry strategies for Azerbaijani startups.
Boston is home to a booming high technology industry in the United States. With two and a half times the national average in scientific R&D employment, it continues to draw the best minds and rank among the top destinations for venture-capital investments worldwide.
Independent studies reveal that Israeli-founded businesses are major drivers of industry in the greater Boston area and Commonwealth of Massachusetts. In 2015 alone, Israeli-founded businesses generated $9.3 billion direct revenue and a total of $18.1 billion in economic impact for the State’s economy, while securing over $1.2 billion in venture-capital from 2013 to 2015. During this time the employment base of these companies grew 5x and generated revenue 2x faster than the economy of Massachusetts.
Mr.Austin Sadaghatpour, Director of Economic Affairs, Consulate General of Israel in New England will discuss market entry strategies and success of Israeli businesses in Boston’s ecosystem with Azerbaijani startups, on January 9, at 9am EST/6pm (GMT+4).
