Since 2006, the U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) has been organizing trade and study missions between Azerbaijan and the United States to strengthen commercial ties between the two nations. These missions are designed to provide U.S. and Azerbaijani companies with direct access to new markets, strategic partners, government stakeholders, and emerging business opportunities.

While Azerbaijan's economic transformation was initially driven by the development of its energy sector, the government has increasingly prioritized economic diversification and private-sector growth. Today, significant opportunities exist across a range of non-oil sectors, supported by ongoing investments in infrastructure, digital transformation, transportation, agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, and renewable energy. Azerbaijan's strategic location along the Middle Corridor connecting Europe and Asia further enhances its role as a regional hub for trade, logistics, and investment. Recent U.S.-Azerbaijan economic cooperation initiatives and new commercial agreements underscore the growing importance of bilateral trade and investment across multiple sectors.

Azerbaijan continues to attract foreign investment due to its strategic geography, modern infrastructure, favorable business reforms, and access to regional markets. According to recent UN Trade and Development (UNCTAD) data, Azerbaijan remains one of the leading destinations for foreign investment in the South Caucasus and an important gateway to the broader Caspian and Central Asian regions.

Priority Sectors for U.S. Companies

USACC trade missions provide participants with customized business-to-business meetings, sector-specific briefings, site visits, and networking opportunities with senior government officials, industry leaders, investors, and potential partners. Through these missions, participants gain valuable market intelligence and establish relationships that facilitate long-term commercial success in Azerbaijan and the wider region.
