Online meeting with Ambassador Elin Suleymanov

Azerbaijan Trade and Cultural Center (USACC) will feature H.E. Elin Suleymanov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to the United States for an online meeting with the members of Azerbaijani community in the United States.

In 2011, H.E. Elin Suleymanov was appointed Azerbaijan’s Ambassador to the United States. He had been Azerbaijan’s first Consul General to Los Angeles for more than five years. Prior to that, he served as a senior counselor at the Foreign Relations Department in the Office of the President in Baku, Azerbaijan, and as a press officer of the Azerbaijani Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Before joining the diplomatic corps, Ambassador Suleymanov worked with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Azerbaijan, as well as with the Open Media Research Institute in Prague and Glaverbel Czech, a leading manufacturing company in Central Eastern Europe. He has also authored numerous articles and is a frequent presenter at academic events.

A graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy in Massachusetts, Ambassador Suleymanov also holds graduate degrees from the Political Geography Department of Moscow State University in Russia and the University of Toledo in Ohio.

He speaks Azerbaijani, English, Russian and Czech.
