The new normal associated with the global pandemic has reshaped economies across the world. This year and the years ahead will be pivotal for all economies, as regulators and businesses redefine economic and business strategies towards sustainability and resiliency in the face of unexpected interruptions.
The pandemic induced a slowdown in the global economy affected business sectors differently. Retail, service and travel industries were hit especially hard by the pandemic whereas e-commerce, technology, air cargo, healthcare, and textiles, to name a few, managed to weather the storm as global consumer demand favored these sectors.
The global agriculture industry suffered particularly hard: disruptions in supply chains, farmer’s health, and increased operational costs from workforce shortages are some of the major impacts of the COVID19 pandemic on global agriculture.
The USACC-EBRD Agriculture Conference aims to look into Azerbaijan’s agriculture economy amid the global pandemic and the strategies employed by the Azerbaijani government and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) to mitigate the effects of the COVID19 pandemic on agribusinesses and agriculture in general. Our panelists will speak about the agriculture economy of Azerbaijan and the existing and emerging opportunities in this sector.
Registration is required. Please register at [email protected] by April 13, EOB. You will receive the conference credentials upon the registration.
