Transformation and Economic Empowerment of Women
Case Studies: Georgia and Azerbaijan
Celebrating 25th Anniversary of Independence

Dear Friends and Colleagues:

In addition to celebrating Women's History month, on March 8, the Senate approved, by unanimous consent, the resolution commemorating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women across the globe. Keeping the momentum going, it is our pleasure to connect fellow women leaders in the greater Washington D.C. area to continue and build upon the important role of women.

We are bringing together women in power, entrepreneurs, decision makers and businesswomen from Washington, D.C. area as well as Georgia and Azerbaijan for a special two-hour event and networking highlighting the Transformation and Global Economic Empowerment of Women. The event will take place on Capitol Hill, Room HC-8 on June 14, 2017 at 9:00AM-11AM.

As you may know, this year Caspian countries are celebrating 25-year anniversary of independence. This business forum will provide an opportunity to learn about the rise of women entrepreneurs in Azerbaijan and Georgia as we look back at the history of their role in society and economy over the past two decades and look forward to new initiatives, government procurement and economic resources for empowering women business owners. These countries took a big step in the progress of women in business and politics. Today, these women work hand in hand with businesswomen in the United States to facilitate economic empowerment, social progress and commerce.

Space is limited. Registration is required to get access to the venue.
