USACC and TACCI brings together businesses and strengthens ties to foster trade opportunities

NEW YORK, January 23, 2025 – The United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), in partnership with the Turkish American Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TACCI) and the Consulate General of Georgia in New York, successfully hosted The Gateway Alliance: Türkiye, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and U.S. Business Collaboration.

This high-profile event, held in New York City, convened an impressive lineup of business leaders, entrepreneurs, government officials, and United Nations diplomats. It served as a platform to explore emerging opportunities in key sectors, including energy, trade, logistics, and technology across these strategically connected nations.

The event opened with remarks by TACCI Chairman Ali Kocak, followed by insightful addresses from the Consuls General of Türkiye and Georgia, Permanent Representatives of Azerbaijan and Georgia to the United Nations, and senior officials from the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce and the USACC.

In his keynote address, Natig Bakhishov, Executive Director of USACC, highlighted the immense potential for collaboration:

“Türkiye, Azerbaijan, and Georgia are natural trade partners, collectively representing a GDP of approximately $1.2 trillion and a market of 98.7 million people. This creates significant opportunities for American businesses to explore and invest in as a dynamic and promising business destination.”

The event facilitated high-value networking, providing participants with a unique opportunity to connect with other industry players and government representatives.

A significant milestone of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the USACC and TACCI. This MoU underscores a commitment to deepen trade and business cooperation, fostering stronger linkages between Azerbaijani and Turkish enterprises in the United States.
