Cooperation Perspectives for Azerbaijan and Silicon Valley

San Jose, California – The United States-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC) held a private briefing seminar on "Cooperation Perspectives for Azerbaijan and Silicon Valley" in the world's premier tech center of innovation and development, Silicon Valley. The briefing was organized as part of USACC ICT Trade Mission to Azerbaijan on December 2-5, 2013.

The program was attended by local tech-based company representatives.

Susan Sadigova, USACC Executive Director and Elshan Baloghlanov, Trade Advisor, delivered a presentation focusing on exploration of major projects initiated by Azerbaijan and its regional importance. In the introduction, Sadigova emphasized the development of Azerbaijan's fast-growing ICT sector, which dawned with the launch of its first telecommunications satellite, Azerspace – 1, capable of supporting digital broadcasting, internet access, data transmission, and government communications. She also urged all the leading U.S. TECH companies, seeking international market expansion, to take part in Bakutel2013, a unique occasion to provide their products and services to one of the fast-growing international markets.

Having informed the audience about other large Azerbaijani projects, such as renowned High Tech Park Project, TASIM, Azerspace-1 and others, the presenters emphasized USACC's organizational mission and presenting Chamber as a platform for expanding a dynamic partnership to achieve resource-sharing and win-win target for both countries.

The presentation was followed by an interactive Q&A session.
