USACC Elects a New Co-Chairman

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

October 16, 2014
Washington, D.C.

Dear USACC Members and Friends,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of United States – Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), based in Washington, D.C., it is my pleasure to announce the selection of former Congressman Bill Delahunt as a new Co-Chairman of USACC. Mr. Delahunt is replacing James Baker IV who served as Co-Chairman of USACC for four consecutive terms with a long-standing commitment and contribution to the organization.

Mr. Delahunt came to Congress in 1997 with a distinguished career in public service and law enforcement. For fourteen years, he represented the Tenth Congressional District of Massachusetts. In Congress he served as a member of the House Judiciary Committee and the House Foreign Affairs Committee, and recently served as the Chairman of its Subcommittee on Europe.

Prior to his service in Congress, Mr. Delahunt was a District Attorney in the metropolitan Boston area for 22 years. A 1963 graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont, he later went on to earn a law degree from Boston College in 1967 and served from 1963 to 1971 in the Coast Guard Reserve.

As we look into our 20th year of service, our goal is to continue to facilitate and encourage trade and investment in both Azerbaijan and the United States and promote tighter economic relations and projects between governmental and non-governmental entities, business organizations and think tanks by encouraging cooperation and the exchange of information.

We are excited to have Mr. Delahunt in our Board and rely on his insight and experience in further promoting Azerbaijan – U.S. trade and business relations and Azerbaijan's commercial prominence on the global stage.

We look forward to continuing to serve you.

Sincerely,

Susan Sadigova
Executive Director
