Mr. Farhad Azima, an esteemed aviation industry leader, serves as the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Aviation Leasing Group of Companies (ALG) since 1981. ALG's direct involvement in airline operations and technical support has propelled it to own, operate, and manage over 50 aircraft, with Buffalo Airways, an associated company chaired by Mr. Azima, conducting sophisticated training programs for various entities, including the FAA, several other airlines, and the U.S. Navy E6 program. With a specialized focus on creating turnkey airlines, ALG offers comprehensive services to clients worldwide, encompassing aircraft leasing, procurement, financing, management, training, operations, technical support, and automation.
Mr. Azima's illustrious career in the aviation industry dates back to 1976 when he founded Global International Airways, a prominent U.S. carrier operating passenger and cargo services globally. His vast expertise also extends to non-aviation fields, including heavy industry and cement plants. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Business Administration from William Jewell College, Mr. Azima's multi-lingual abilities in English, Farsi, and Turkish, and his knowledge of Arabic and Russian have been instrumental in his international endeavors.
As a valued member of the Board of Directors of The U.S.-Azerbaijan Chamber of Commerce (USACC), Mr. Azima's wealth of experience and international insights further solidify the Chamber's mission of promoting trade, investment, and collaboration between the United States and Azerbaijan.
